The Real Frequency

Toronto, Ontario

The Real Frequency was one of the longest running hip hop radio shows in Toronto. It started in 1993 at York University’s CHRY 105.5 FM, then moved to Ryerson’s CKLN 88.1 FM in 2001. In 2004 it moved to Toronto’s only “urban” radio station FLOW 93.5 FM. In 2011 the show went off air. It was one of the most influential and respected hip hop shows in Toronto history.
